The early days of digital Thornography

For some of my early designs, I saved multiple stages of the same piece
In my mind, this piece stands out due to its prominent use of tendrel-like thorns. The shapes give it an alien air, separating it from the rest of the early designs.
This piece is vaguely humanoid. While I have never intentionally based my designs off of anything other than the abstraction they unfold into, this one ended up with a distinctly limbed silhouette.
This design exists only to digitize a near-identical one I had drawn on the placemat of a local restaurant.
This design has always been one of my favorites. Once I began using Adobe Illustrator, I translated this piece into the cleaner line style, dubbing it "Seam" in honor of the small protrusions seemingly bursting forth from the larger claw-like masses.
